Of course no look back is complete without something cute! And what could be cuter than animals and cartoon characters. I love doing animal cards and, in fact, make my daughter’s cards with all kinds of animals.
First, Penny Black’s hedgies are some of the cutest animal stamps out there. One year I made these adorable hedgies with their Christmas tree into cards for my daughter to send to her friends. Colored with Copic markers, an embossing folder and some red and gold rickrack just adds enough to the card without overwhelming the adorable image.
Second is a darling little bunny bringing Easter wishes to the recipient. This card was cut using a Wild Card template and then was closed with a button and some cording that added playfulness as well as embellishments. A butterfly charm in the corner tops it all off for a springlike flair.
And last was a card that I made to send to my daughter’s friend who needed a bit of “uplifting”. Who better than a well known cartoon character being carried into the clouds by a bunch of beautifully colored balloons! Some punch art, some metallic cord and inking around a cloud template pulls it all together.
I hope you have enjoyed this peek into the past and ask that you stick around to see what else I have in store for you. I know you will enjoy the many projects that I have in mind.
